The Climate Restoration Alliance is proud to announce that Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) New Orleans signed the Climate Restoration Resolution on August 5, 2024.
CCL’s mission is to create political will for climate solutions by empowering people to use their personal and political power; cultivating local support and promoting solutions with cross-partisan appeal to move leaders toward action. The New Orleans chapter does this work in a city that has experienced firsthand the devastating consequences of climate-driven storms and flooding.
Restoring the climate to safe CO2 levels by 2050 is ultimately a political project as much as a scientific one. CCL’s model (respectful relationships, local demonstration, legislative engagement) is how that political will gets built. We are honored to have Chapter Leader Keely Lewis and CCL New Orleans standing with us.
