Mtokani Saleh Hamisi is a community development practitioner and Founder of AgriHope Initiative for Resilience, a community-based organization working with vulnerable refugee and host communities in Kakuma, Kenya. Having experienced displacement himself, Mtokani is passionate about creating sustainable pathways from dependency toward dignity, resilience, and self-reliance.

Through AgriHope, he supports refugee youth, women, teen mothers, and vulnerable families through climate-smart agriculture, food security, livelihoods, environmental restoration, and community-led development. Current initiatives include regenerative and climate-smart farming, kitchen gardens, tree nurseries, poultry, water and irrigation solutions, and skills development.

Mtokani is also pursuing a Certificate in Community Development and Social Work, strengthening his practical experience with formal training. He is committed to connecting local community action with global climate restoration efforts and demonstrating how restoration can improve livelihoods while strengthening resilience in vulnerable communities.
