Michael J. Slovak is a member of Central New York ESRAG, the Bath, NY Rotary Club, and a Past District Governor of Rotary District 7120. He is based in Bath, New York, and has built a career spanning education, information management, computer systems consulting, and operational leadership.
He retired in 2015 as Director of Operations and Development with the Health Ministry of the Southern Tier in Corning, NY, after serving in roles that involved business operations, logistics, vendor relations, budgeting, strategic planning, and site development. Earlier in his career, he worked as a math, science, and health teacher for secondary school students, and later moved into information services and computer systems work, where he managed teams, developed training materials, and supported business systems for several organizations.
Throughout his career, Michael has focused on using leadership and management skills to support innovative, high-quality, cost-effective education for all students while strengthening community support through open communication and stakeholder involvement. He also brings a service-minded perspective to Rotary and environmental action, with a stated commitment to helping protect the environment for children and grandchildren.
