Jahongir Mashokirov is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourism and holds a PhD in Economics.
He graduated from the Tajik State University of Commerce in 2009 and has been working in the fields of science and higher education since 2010. His main research interests include tourism development, tourism services, international tourism, and sustainable tourism within the framework of the green economy.
He has studied and conducted academic research at the Belarusian State Technological University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and the University of Málaga. He also conducted scientific research at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia, for two years within the framework of Horizon Europe programmes.
He has participated in a number of international projects and programmes, including MANECA, USAID, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus+ KA107, and Horizon Europe, collaborating with leading European universities.
He is the author of 2 monographs, more than 120 scientific articles, and 2 methodological guides.
