I am a passionate advocate for climate restoration with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. I am an Honored Listee with Marquis Who’s Who. I currently work for Translarity, a tech company in the Bay Area, where we manufacture probe cards used for testing semiconductor wafers.
My position there is Director of Automation. I’ve had a diverse career in many different industries and unique parts of the world, such as Antarctica, where I spent five years, 2010-2014 working on the ice in support of the U.S. Antarctic Program. First there were four long winters at McMurdo Station and then a little over a year continuously at the geographic South Pole.
Other interesting work projects include implementing a robot to handle Plutonium and perfecting a system to automatically leak test a million pieces per day of a natural latex rubber product.
My main volunteer work now is with the Climate Restoration Alliance in the Eddy Carbon Research group. Other current volunteer work that I do is trail maintenance for some California State Parks, where I am a certified chain saw operator. Much of my climate restoration advocacy happens when I attend frequent Hardware Meetups around the Bay Area of California, talking to technical people to make them aware that there is a way to restore the climate.
Other volunteer work that’s been significant earlier in my life includes decades of technical mountain rescue work and time as a volunteer fire chief, both in Colorado. I’ve also worked as a professional firefighter on 20 person crews In Colorado and California.
