Elahi Rawshan is a development and humanitarian professional working at the intersection of climate education, youth engagement, gender equality, disability inclusion, and child protection. He studied Educational Psychology at the University of Dhaka and Human Development and Education at Harvard University, with a focus on inclusive learning, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and wellbeing. Over the past decade, he has worked with and contributed to organizations including BRAC, UNICEF, IFRC, IRC, UN Women, KfW Development Bank, and the Global Center for Climate Mobility.

Elahi’s work focuses on making climate knowledge accessible, actionable, and justice-oriented for young people and communities most affected by climate change. He is the Founder and Curriculum Lead of Climate60, a climate literacy platform that uses microlearning to build public understanding of climate change, resilience, and sustainable futures. He advocates for the mainstreaming of climate education and access to education for climate migrant children. Elahi has chaired the Asia Pacific Youth Network (APYN), a regional youth platform of 38 National Societies in the Asia Pacific of IFRC, since 2023. He has been volunteering with the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement since 2005, and has led many disaster response, relief operations, and climate adaptation initiatives across Bangladesh.

As a Climate Restoration Ambassador, Elahi hopes to help position climate restoration as an essential and crucial pathway alongside mitigation and adaptation to achieve global climate goals, an area that many people are still less aware of. His focus is to strengthen awareness and action on climate restoration in Bangladesh and across the Asia-Pacific region, especially among youth, educators, civil society actors, and development partners.
