I am a retired CPA who recently lost my wife, Robbie, of 58 years, and am living alone for the first time. We raised four children, lost one to an early death, and now have four beautiful grandchildren ages 10 to 22.

I have a background in financial management, 17 years at the University of Oregon Foundation, where I continually added responsibilities and grew professionally, followed by 21 years managing my own CPA practice, where I consulted on the creation and management of charitable remainder trusts.

As a lifetime resident of the state of Oregon, I’ve been involved in several climate organizations and care deeply about the crisis in which we find ourselves today. I became more climate-aware when I retired in 2012, and became a climate activist by joining Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL). I jumped on their Greenhouse Gas Removal Action Team when it was first launched in early 2024, and I’ve been active ever since, including with a sub-group focused on low-carbon concrete. I became an active member with the Foundation for Climate Restoration in 2019 and most recently joined with the Climate Restoration Alliance, inspired by the action and projects in effect to address the climate crisis and restore our climate.

When I first learned about Climate Restoration in 2019, I immediately chose that as the focus of my volunteer work. I’ve been committed to restoring the climate ever since and am now serving as the Volunteer Treasurer of the Grandparents Fund for Climate Restoration.

Being a Climate Restoration Ambassador is my step towards achieving a lasting future for my four grandchildren and for all life on planet Earth.
