Linda VerNooy is the DC State Coordinator for Citizens Climate Lobby. She has been a climate activist for over 27 years, passing state legislation in states such as Washington State, Illinois and the District of Columbia. She has worked in coalition with a variety of environmental groups and labor, including the Sierra Club and Chesapeake Climate Action Network.

Linda was the Co-leader of the Labor Outreach Action team and is currently a member of the Greenhouse Gas Removal action team in CCL. She worked with the city council in Indianapolis to shut down a coal plant and was involved in passing the Climate Omnibus Bill in DC in 2018, during the first Trump administration.

Linda owned the carbon offset and carbon inventory consulting company NetGreen which was covered in Washington CEO magazine.
