The Workshop on Science & Engineering of Listening, organized by the Rotary Club of Daund on 21 February 2026, explored how careful listening can deepen our connection to nature.
It aligns with the Climate Restoration Alliance mission to rebuild harmony between humans and the Earth through mindful observation and understanding of natural systems. Participants learned how sound emerges, travels, and is interpreted, discovering how awareness itself can become a tool for climate restoration.
Around 300 cadets took part in this engaging session. At the close of the workshop, all participants joined in taking the Climate Restoration Pledge, committing themselves to our mission of active restoration. (You can read and sign the same pledge here: climaterestorationalliance.org/join-us/).
ही कार्यशाळा केवळ ऐकण्याचे विज्ञान व अभियांत्रिकी शिकवणारी नव्हती, तर संवेदनशीलता आणि आंतरिक शांतता वाढवणारा एक अनुभव होता (this workshop was not only about the science of sound but also about cultivating sensitivity and inner calm).
सहभागी कैडेट्सना निसर्गातील विविध ध्वनी ओळखून त्यांच्या मागील भावना व संवेदना समजून घेण्याची प्रेरणा मिळाली (cadets were encouraged to perceive natural sounds and the life force behind them). अशा प्रकारे त्यांचे पर्यावरणाशी अधिक जिव्हाळ्याचे नाते जोडले गेले, (they formed a deeper connection with nature).
त्यांच्या सातत्यपूर्ण प्रयत्नांमुळे “ऐकणे” हे केवळ श्रवण न राहता निसर्गाशी संवाद साधण्याचे साधन बनले (his work has turned listening into a means of communicating with nature).
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Rtn. Rajendrakumar Saraf, whose dedication, clarity, and leadership made this his 34th successful workshop and helped spread awareness of the Climate Restoration Alliance’s mission among the participants.
