Investing in a Safe Climate for Future Generations
Everyone wants to restore a proven, safe climate for our children—one that humanity has survived long-term. Nature has done it before, and we will do it too when we commit to it.
The Climate Restoration Investment Fund is the investment arm of the Climate Restoration Alliance, providing seed funding to launch climate solutions as for-profit companies owned by the Alliance’s NGO.
Most of the profits from these companies flow back into the fund to further climate restoration efforts, while a portion is returned to investors and founders as a return on their investment.
As a fund owned by a non-profit, we ensure that every company we support remains aligned with our vision, mission, and 2030 goal: The Climate Restoration Industry operating at full scale, removing 60 Gt of CO₂ per year.
Our Investment Focus
We fund projects in three key areas:
- Atmospheric Restoration – Greenhouse gas (GHG) removal and emission reduction, with a focus on CO₂ and methane.
- Ecosystem Restoration – Land and ocean restoration initiatives.
- Resilient Communities – Solutions in food security, regenerative agriculture, green energy resilience, and sustainable waste management.
Investment Criteria
Projects must demonstrate:
- A strong and committed team
- A triple-bottom-line business model (environmental, social, and economic impact)
- Potential for replication and scale-up
