The OIF Consortium is an informal and highly collaborative forum of Ocean Iron Fertilization (OIF) implementers dedicated to advancing the science, deployment, and governance of OIF as a scalable climate restoration solution. Through regular meetings and open collaboration, members share critical insights, best practices, and resources to accelerate responsible and effective OIF implementation.

Environmental Impact Assessment – Developing a common EIA for OIF projects which can be modified for specific locations, and framed for actual stakeholders: nations and funders.
Patents & Inventions – Sharing intellectual property to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) Methodologies – Establishing standardized approaches for tracking carbon sequestration and ecosystem impact. To assure funders and regulators that the funds are measurably and safely restoring atmospheric CO2 levels.
OIF Protocol Development – Collaborating on best practices, guidelines, and regulatory frameworks for safe and effective deployment.
Marketing & Public Engagement – Crafting strategies to communicate the benefits of OIF to policymakers, investors, and the public.
