People, NGOs, Corporations, First Nations and Faith Leaders are committing to restore the climate by 2050
Why do you care about our environment, about our Planet Earth? Can you see yourself as a climate activist?
Those of us who’ve become Climate Restoration Ambassadors may have started out caring about the plastics in our ocean, recycling, and the damage of “fast fashion,” or we may have been involved with planting trees or reducing our individual carbon footprint in our everyday household decisions.
We at The Climate Restoration Alliance care about all that, and we’re focused primarily on the air we breathe – restoring our atmosphere to pre-industrial levels by 2050.
The climate crisis is a defining challenge of our time, driven by the accumulation of greenhouse gases (GHGs) such as carbon dioxide (CO₂) and methane in the atmosphere. These gases trap heat, leading to global warming, extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and widespread ecological disruptions.
While reducing emissions is critical, it is no longer sufficient. To stabilize the climate, we must actively remove GHG already present in the atmosphere.
What will we care about enough to take action? And what actions will we take?! How will we make the critical difference for humanity to continue to flourish?
Individuals and organizations must align themselves with this reality, and collectively make a stand for what we want – a livable planet for future generations.
Climate Restoration Ambassadors from all over the world and all walks of life meet regularly to share resources, support each other in reaching out, and engage others in conversation to make Climate Restoration a global movement whose time has come.
